World Champ confirms his attendance at the Gold Coast Longboard Event
It’s been a hectic 2 years for Noosa’s World Champion Longboard Surfer Josh Constable. It started with him winning Australia’s richest longboard contest the Suzuki Pro back in 2005, followed later that year by the birth of his first child Jed, then his wedding to long time partner Anna Shislar last May. There was more to come for Constable in 2006 with an incredible win at the ASP World Titles in Costa Rica and then winning his 3rd Australian Open Longboard Title at Yallingup in WA. Earlier this month Constable won his 3rd Noosa Festival Pro Title before travelling to New Zealand where he won the South Island Pro-Am on the weekend.

Late next month Constable will travel to the Oxbow Invitational in France before he hurriedly flys back to Australia where he will be competing in the Surf Tech 1* WLT Pro at the Malfunction Surf Festival on the Gold Coast in May.
Fellow jet setting longboard competitor and long time friend, world #3 Harley Ingleby from Emerald Beach in NSW is another who will rushing back from Europe so as to defend his 2006 Malfunction Title.
Other confirmed entrants in the Surf Tech 1* WLT Pro at the Malfunction include Sunshine Coasts Grant GT Thomas, and 17yr old surfing sensation Harrison Roach also from Noosa.
Organisers have also received notification that star of the 1964 surf movie “Endless Summer” Robert August will be attending this years Malfunction.
