ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM
We have put together a social package to keep you entertained out of the water beginning with
TUESDAY April 22
Golf Day at Ocean Shores on Tuesday 22nd. Here’s your chance to play in a 3 Person Ambrose along side Wingnut Weaver and Josh Constable followed by a BBQ lunch and presentation. You can register at the Casuarina Office or by phoning 02)6674999 or 0414569208.
Tuesday evening see the official opening of the Domain Casuarina Beach Resort Art Exhibition at the Conference Centre, Barclay Drive, Casuarina. The exhibition will be open to the general public from Wednesday the 23rd to Friday 25th.
WEDNESDAY April 23
The Domain Casuarina Beach Resort Art Exhibition at the Conference Centre, Barclay Drive, Casuarina opens to the public from 10am.
There will be Happy Hour at the Cudgen Headlands SLSC after the contest has wrapped each afternoon from 4 - 5.
The 25th Malfunction Reunion get-together will be at the Cudgen Headlands SLSC on Wednesday evening beginning at 7pm. As well as catching up with friends both old and new there will be video footage and photos from previous Malfunctions.
THURSDAY April 24
The Domain Casuarina Beach Resort Art Exhibition at the Conference Centre, Barclay Drive, Casuarina opens to the public from 10am.
Thursday evening sees us at the Salt Bar at Salt where Max Judo fronted by legendary surfer Lucas Proudfoot will play. Entry is free from 8pm onwards and there is a Coopers promotion with the winner taking home a Robert August Model Surftech.
FRIDAY April 25
The Domain Casuarina Beach Resort Art Exhibition at the Conference Centre, Barclay Drive, Casuarina opens to the public from 10am.
Friday night will be another huge night beginning with the launch of Nat Young's new book 'The Complete History of Surfing from Water to Snow' which is open to all at the Sand Bar at Barclay Drive Casuarina starting at 5pm.
Then immediately following Nat's book launch is the Domain Casuarina Beach Resort Luau Dinner. Tickets are $55 per person and can be purchased from the Casuarina Office or by phoning 02)66749999 or 0414569208.
The Luau dinner will be followed by Von Weirdos Surf Memorabilia Auction .
Bidders will need to register for the Von Weirdos Surf Memorabilia Auction by contacting Darryl Miller on 0412 049380. (You don’t need to attend the luau dinner to attend the auction.)
SATURDAY April 26
Saturday morning sees the Salt Village Surf Vehicle Rally. After assembling at Salt Village Park the vehicles will drive around some of the Tweed Coast Beaches before reaching Kingscliff where the vehicles will be available for public viewing at the contest site.
Also in the morning Honolua Surf will be conducting a free Stand Up Paddle Clinic with Billy Watson & Guy Walker. Salty Girls with Belen Kimble will be giving free surfing lessons to entry level female surfers. Both at 10am.
Saturday afternoon sees the Liars Bar in action in the Kingscliff Beach Hotel in the beer garden from 5.30pm. There will be a Robert August retro cruiser pushy to be won by the best story teller/joke teller/liar. Not suitable for minors.
SUNDAY April 27
Presentation at the contest venue. 3pm Live entertainment.
