A 2.66m GREAT white shark was caught and tagged off the Gold Coast's Kirra Beach last week.
The 180kg female juvenile was snagged in a drumline off the iconic Coast surf spot, before being tagged by the Fisheries Department and released 3 nautical miles offshore.
The shark, named 'Kirra J' by Fisheries officials, is the second great white to be tagged in Queensland.
In the week since she was tagged, the shark has already moved to waters off Grafton, according to the latest satellite information.
The first Queensland shark tagged, 'Rachael', was tagged off the Gold Coast in June and the latest data shows she is now mid-way between the Victorian coastline and Tasmania, crossing the Bass Strait.
